Vice President Kamala Harris underwent an obvious vocal metamorphosis over the course of just a few days, taking a very different tone when she addressed a rally crowd in Atlanta, Georgia, than she had when speaking to the drag queens on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
When speaking with the drag queens in Los Angeles on the day she officially kicked off her presidential campaign, Harris’ tone was crisp and clear — but by the time she took the stage at her Atlanta rally on Tuesday, the de facto Democratic nominee had adopted a slow drawl.
Conservative communications pro Greg Price shared side-by-side videos that showed just how dramatic the change had been, adding the caption, “Here is Kamala Harris, who was born in California to Jamaican and Indian college professors, talking to drag queens in Los Angeles a week ago vs. black people in Atlanta tonight. Fakest human being that has ever lived.”

“‘We ‘gon do it again in twenty twenty-foh.’ What the hell is wrong with this person?” one posted in response.
“One wonders if any journalists in Georgia or elsewhere will question Kamala’s obviously fake southern accent at her highly managed stage performance in Atlanta,” another added.
The video of her affected southern drawl drew immediate comparisons to the Democratic Party’s last female nominee, Hillary Clinton, from the first of her two failed presidential runs in 2007.

“Almost worse than Hillary’s ‘I don’t feel no ways tired’ weirdness. Maybe worse,” one said.
“Kamala Harris’s fake southern accent puts Hillary Clinton to shame,” another added.
“The fake Southern/jive accent is such a narcissistic, privileged white liberal compulsion. It never occurs to them how cringe and racist it is. At least Hillary actually lived in the South for a bit; Kamala is a California valley girl raised in Canada,” another posted.
