San Jose Sharks star Evander Kane's WIFE accuses him of 'throwing games to pay off his gambling debts' as NHL launches investigation
The NHL will investigate San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane after his wife alleged on social media that he gambles on his own games and has tanked to cash in on his bets.
The allegations were made on Instagram from an account purportedly belonging to Anna Kane.
Anna Kane wrote on Instagram: 'How does the NHL let a compulsive gambling addict still play when he's obviously throwing games to win money? Hmm maybe someone needs to address this.'
'Can someone ask (Commissioner) Gary Bettman how they let a player gamble on his own games? Bet and win with bookies on his own games?'
She also claimed that she was forced to sell her wedding ring in order to buy formula for their baby while Evander allegedly partied in Europe.

On Saturday night, the NHL said in a statement it was made away of the posts.
'The integrity of our game is paramount and the League takes these allegations very seriously. We intend to conduct a full investigation and will have no further comment at this time.'
Evander Kane is entering the fourth season of a seven-year, $49 million deal.
In January, he filed for bankrupstcy despite making $3 million in 2020 and more than $50 million in his career. He was also sued in 2019 by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas strip casino for an alleged $500,000 gambling debt which piled up during an NHL playoff series, CBS reported.
Evander Kane, 29, recorded 49 points (22 goals, 27 assists) in 56 games and an average of 20 minutes, 12 seconds of time on ice. His plus-minus rating for the season was minus-1.

His career plus-minus rating is minus-67 in 769 games with the Atlanta Thrashers/Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres and Sharks. He has 264 goals and 242 assists (506 points) in 12 seasons.
