What's yours is only yours because everybody else agrees it is is a concept that society accepts in abstract. We all accept that if you libel someone, or cause them physical injury, then the courts can award them compensation and if necessary your house and savings will be forfeited to pay it. Anyone who's capable of graduating university - and many more people besides - are capable of understanding that it's yours because everyone else says so is the very definition of property. But I think this definition would be unpopular, if expressed so bluntly, and widely rejected.
