Franklin Graham says he thinks Trump might be too unhealthy to run for president in 2024: 'The guy does not eat well'
The Rev. Franklin Graham said he thought former President Donald Trump's health might be too poor for him to run for president again in 2024.
Graham, the evangelical leader and longtime Trump ally, told "Axios on HBO" that Trump running again would "be a very tough thing to do."
"I think for him, everything will depend on his health at that time," he said. "If he still has energy and strength like he does. I don't."
He said Trump's diet could be a factor against him. "You know the guy does not eat well, you know, and it's amazing the energy that he has," Graham said.
He added, however, that Trump had lost weight since leaving the White House, so "he might be in good health and in good shape" to run again.
A Trump advisor told Insider in April that Trump had lost 15 pounds since the end of his presidency.
Trump has long loved fast food.
Trump would turn 78 in 2024, the same age President Joe Biden is now.
