Hanging on for dear life! Donald Trump forces his caddie to stand on the back of his golf cart as he floors it - and tweets that the sport is 'my exercise'

President Donald Trump was seen racing across the fairways of his Virginia golf course on Sunday with his caddie appearing to hold on for dear life.
Despite there being more than enough room for two on the golf cart, the president forced the caddie to cling on to the back of the cart as he floored it across the links.
Shortly before taking to the course, the president tweeted that the sport was 'my exercise', despite him using an electric golf cart to travel between each shot.
'My 'exercise' is playing, almost never during the week, a quick round of golf,' Trump tweeted after 8am.

NBC White House Correspondent Kelly O'Donnell noted in a tweet: 'The course is the only place he gets to drive himself.'
The footage shared on Sunday showed Trump driving at speed across the undulating greens of the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.
Trump spent both weekend days playing a round of golf at the course which is around half an hour's drive from the White House.
Before hitting the links, Trump took to Twitter defending his golf play, saying he gets 'a lot of work done' while on the course .

He penned the early morning tweets after spending about four hours on his Virginia course on Saturday, after scrubbing a campaign rally in New Hampshire on a day when he also donned a mask on a visit to the military hospital at Walter Reed amid the coronavirus pandemic.
By the time he arrived at the same location before 10am on Sunday, he was greeted by a protester in a grim reaper costume with a sign that said '137k' – a reference to the spiraling number of U.S. coronavirus deaths.
After attempting to justify how playing golf each weekend was his 'exercise', he then went after his predecessor, who he previously attacked for playing too much golf during his tenure as president.

'Obama played more and much longer ... rounds, no problem. When I play, Fake News CNN, and others, park themselves anywhere they can to get a picture, then scream 'President Trump is playing golf.'
Actually, I play VERY fast, get a lot of work done on the golf course, and also get a 'tiny' bit of exercise. Not bad!'
As on previous occasions, network TV cameras were able to stake out a position to get a long-distance shot while he was playing his Virginia course.
An NBC correspondent posted a network shot that revealed Trump on Saturday was accompanied by an official White House photographer for the event.

CBS reported by its count Trump has made 193 trips to his own or other golf clubs over a period of 258 days.
At the same point in his presidency, President Barack Obama had played 102 rounds of golf – although there was not immediate statistical information on how many average hours each man's golf game took.
Trump also fired off tweets on multiple subjects Sunday, as he remained under fire for the controversial decision to commute the sentence of longtime political adviser Roger Stone, who was convicted of witness tampering and lying to Congress in connection to the Russia probe.
'No, Radical Left anarchists, agitators, looters or protesters will not be knocking down or harming the Washington Monument, the Lincoln or Jefferson Memorials, or just about any other Federal Monumrnt [sic]or Statue,' Trump wrote. 'If they even try, an automatic 10 years in prison. Sorry!'
We have now built 240 Miles of new Border Wall on our Southern Border. We will have over 450 Miles built by the end of the year. Have established some of the best Border Numbers ever. The Radical Left Democrats want Open Borders for anyone, including many criminals, to come in!

Trump also tweeted out thanks to J.R. Majewski, an Ohio man who managed to turn his entire front lawn into a giant 'Trump' sign.

Following Trump's tweet, CNN reported that it was Trump's 276th trip to one of his golf properties as president Saturday, and that he was on the course about four hours.

J.R. Majewski used 120 gallons of biodegradable paint to pull off the huge banner, nwfdailynews.com reported.
