Dad surprises teen with the perfect punishment for talking too much in class

Bradley, AKA Brad, Howard is a 17-year-old high school student living in Texas.

His dad, who is also named Bradley (and goes by Brad), had a great solution for Brad’s “misbehavior” in class. “I like to talk a lot, and so my teacher kept emailing my dad about it,” teen Brad said.

Dad Brad said that teen Brad “likes to be the life of the party, which gets him in trouble from time to time.”

When teen Brad’s physics teacher had to keep calling dad Brad about him disrupting class with his conversations, dad Brad said enough is enough. “For some reason I said, ‘Hey, if we get another call I’m going to show up in school and sit beside you in class,’” he explained.

Dad Brad wasn’t playing around. When your kid acts up, it’s best to get right in the middle of it, especially when you can take hilarious photos and lightheartedly embarrass him. “I didn’t even notice him until after I had said hi to all of my friends, but I was super shocked,” the teen said about walking in to physics only to find his father.

“I was a bit nervous being there among the teenagers,” said the dad. Apparently going back to high school was a different experience than dad Brad had in mind.

“Mentally I hadn’t prepared to go into a situation like that,” he said. Luckily the teens were good sports about it. “I think they had a good time. Especially knowing that Bradley was put in an uncomfortable situation.”

Teen Brad’s sister posted the evidence of the scene online, as any respectable sister would do. People thought it was hilarious.

Apparently dad Brad isn’t even the first parent to follow through with this tactic, which makes it even better.

The physics teacher was grateful for the parenting strategy, but dad Brad doesn’t plan to sit in on class anymore. “I pray it was a one-time thing,” he said. “I don’t think I’d ever do it again.”
