Texas woman reveals her landlord painted over a COCKROACH on her wall as she shares a hilarious image of her 'mummified roommate' - sparking a wave of memes and jokes on Twitter
After moving into a new home in Texas, one woman was shocked — and a bit amused — to discover that her landlord had painted over a dead cockroach, leaving the now-lacquered bug stuck to the wall.
Chelsea shared a photo of the unexpected wall décor on Twitter on September 4, writing: 'My landlord painted over a f***ing roach.'
Her tweet quickly went viral, earning 358,000 likes and inspiring plenty of jokes, memes, and photoshopped images of the unlucky insect.

The cockroach was presumably dead when Chelsea's landlord applied a fresh coat of white paint and rolled right over it — painting it white and sticking it to the wall.
The image has been the butt of plenty of jokes from dumbfounded Twitter users.
'It will probably still be alive if you chip off the paint,' wrote one
'Okay but now what you do is buy some doll sized hats and accessories for him and each season give him a festive look. Change it from a house roach to a HOME roach,' said another.
'It’s probably a load bearing roach,' quipped one more.

Many people were struck by the position of the cockroach, which was caught on its back with one leg down and the other pointing outward, as if it were kicking.
One photoshopped a top hat on its head and a cane in one of its legs, imagining it as The WB frog singing, 'Hello my baby, hello my darlin, hello my ragtime gal.'
Another added a line of more painted roaches doing a dance a la the Rockettes, while another dressed the roach up for musical number in Chicago.
Others compared the bug to Jackie Chan, cancan dancers, and fighters in a video game.

Not everyone thought it was so funny though, with some expressing that this must surely be a sign of bigger problems.
'That’s pretty gross. That means there are probably dead roaches under the carpet as well. Note to landlords, you’re supposed to fumigate AND clean before you paint,' said one.
Chelsea, though, is seeing the humor, telling Twitter users: 'Really glad everyone is having so much fun with my mummified roommate.'
